Put Fernanda Lazzarini and Andre Jerusalem  – 15/04/2020 On Thursday, April 9, 2020, the Superintendence of Corporate Relations (“SEP”) of the Securities and Exchange Commission (“CVM”) published Circular Letter SEP 03/20 on the extension of the use of the Empresas.NET System until July 3, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has brought the need for adaptation in the most diverse sectors and their mechanisms, in March, CVM released CVM Deliberation 849, which postpones several deadlines that in principle should have been met by April 2020. In view of these exceptional changes deliberated in CVM 849, publicly-held and foreign companies now have until July 2020 to register the relevant information in the Empresas.NET System and, thus, be up to date with the obligations provided for in CVM legislation, especially CVM Instruction 480.
