On June 30, at an online event promoted by the National Federation of Central Bank Employee Associations (Fenasbac), the president of the Central Bank of Brazil, Roberto Campos, announced 43 projects to increase inclusion, competitiveness, transparency, education and sustainability of the national financial system, which are part of the BC's agenda for the coming years.
Among these projects, 11 were selected to join the Financial Innovations and Technologies Laboratory (“LIFT Lab”) in 2021.
It is worth remembering that LIFT Lab is an innovation ecosystem, coordinated by Fenasbac and the BC, which aims to support technology companies that contribute to the National Financial System, and the projects chosen for LIFT Lab 2021 are the following:
Agro Open Bank (Creditares) – proposes using artificial intelligence to analyze agronomic, financial and market data to make financial projections and simulations for the producer, recommending better credit combinations, hedge and marketing strategies (future, spot).
Centralization for payment of taxes through the Digital Wallet (Banco Útil) – corporate digital wallet focused on corporate tax payments. It currently has more than 150 paying customers, who can pay their taxes in up to 15 minutes, every day of the week.
Banking customer empowerment – a project that aims to provide financial institutions with intelligence to offer personal finance management to their customers. Thanks to Open Banking tools, it will build a cloud application for financial institutions.
Finance for delivery people and drivers (Plific) – a financial solution designed for delivery people and app drivers. With Plific, users can synchronize their accounts across different apps and track how much they have earned on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Formalization of the 100% Digital Credit Operation – document collection, extraction of document information for validation with Federal Revenue databases, proof of life, facematch, acceptance of the terms of the contract and signature by voice with audio recognition.
Amazon Observatory – improvement of a reliable, accessible and intuitive web platform that allows the interoperability of services and integration of geospatial data. Promotes the monitoring and management of data in the Legal Amazon territory.
Nano Business Investment and Management Platform (Grana Solidária) – connects investors and nano-entrepreneurs, providing access to easy microcredit at affordable interest rates and support to manage the business.
Open Banking Platform for Everyone – Open Banking solutions project aims to facilitate the portability of people’s financial data wherever they are.
RBDC – Real Backed Digital Currency – aims to bring practical experiments regarding the feasibility of representing electronic currency in blockchain networks, as well as allowing a critical view on the challenges and convenience of Pix – blockchain interoperability.
Simplifying Digital Payments (Shipay) – hub that integrates digital wallets into corporate systems such as store front, ERP, POS, ecommerce and apps.
Integrated Exchange Solutions for Investment, Hedge and Comex (Banco Adenom) – business model of a commercial bank specializing in foreign exchange. Differentiated products will be offered, incorporating different foreign currencies, in formats consistent with the clients’ goals.
