The Digital Employment and Social Security Card (CTPS) has undergone an update that aims to ensure greater accuracy in displaying workers' positions. Previously, the application only displayed the CBO (Brazilian Classification of Occupations) code, which did not always reflect the worker's exact function. Now, the system displays the job description as registered by the company in eSocial, allowing workers to check their job title exactly as it appears in their employment contract.
This change is welcome for both employees and HR departments. Employees gain more clarity about their position and function, avoiding confusion that previously arose due to the generic CBO description. For HR departments, the update reduces the time spent explaining discrepancies between the description displayed and the work performed, strengthening the relationship between companies and employees.
With this implementation, inspection bodies will also have more detailed and accurate information about positions, which facilitates audits and compliance with labor legislation.
The update, which will be completed in the coming days, brings greater transparency to the digital registration system, allowing workers to have easy and reliable access to the details of their contract.
Our office remains attentive to all updates in labor legislation and will continue to inform our clients about relevant changes that impact people management and compliance practices.
