On January 15th, the Commercial Board of the State of São Paulo (“JUCESP”) launched the system called Balcão Único, which brings together all the tools necessary for opening companies, thus simplifying the process, since the entrepreneur will use it free of charge, electronically and from a single access, eliminating the traditional steps, such as Viability, DBE, Registration, Municipal Registration and Licensing Permit.

Initially, the Single Counter is only available for the city of São Paulo/SP and is limited to opening companies of the Individual Entrepreneur legal nature (“HEY”), Sole Proprietorship Limited Liability Company (“EIRELI”) and Limited (“LTDA.”). Furthermore, it is only allowed for the opening of the company’s headquarters (known as “Event 101”) and the use of the Standard Articles of Association and e-CPF digital certificate of all company partners is mandatory.

If the company to be established does not meet the requirements outlined above, the entrepreneur will use the State Integrator.

The Balcão Único is part of JUCESP's project to provide a significant improvement for Brazil in the Doing Business company opening ranking, from 40 to 60 positions, in addition to providing a more attractive environment for national and foreign investors.

To access the Single Counter, simply access the JUCESP website (jucesp.sp.gov.br), go to the Via Rápida Empresa icon (“VRE”), click on “Integrated Viability and Registration Process”, which will redirect you to Redesim and then, after the login, to the One Stop Shop.
