In accordance with the provisions of Circular of the Central Bank of Brazil No. 3,795 of 6/16/2016, we inform you that the deadline for submitting the declaration of the Census of Foreign Capital in Brazil (“Census”) is now open, and the information to be provided must refer to the base year ending December 31, 2018.

The following entities are required to participate in the Census:

1) Legal entities headquartered in the country, with direct participation of non-residents in their share capital, in any amount, and with net equity equal to or greater than the equivalent of US$100,000,000.00 (one hundred million US dollars) on the base date of December 31 of the base year;

2) Investment funds with non-resident shareholders and with net equity equal to or greater than the equivalent of US$100,000,000.00 (one hundred million US dollars), on the base date of December 31 of the base year, through their administrators; and

3) Legal entities headquartered in the country, with a total outstanding balance of short-term commercial credits (due within 360 days) granted by non-residents, in an amount equal to or greater than the equivalent of US$10,000,000.00 (ten million US dollars), on the base date of December 31 of the base year.

The deadline for submissions is 6pm on August 15, 2019.
