1. Tax Consulting:
– Provide legal advice to clients on issues related to direct and indirect taxation.
– Prepare and review legal opinions, memoranda, reports and technical materials on tax issues.
– Advise on planning, tax optimization strategies, implementation of operations and restructuring.
– Monitor changes in tax legislation and court decisions, impacting the company’s tax management.
2. Tax Disputes:
– Represent clients in legal and administrative proceedings related to taxes.
– Define and execute defense strategies in tax actions, from the initial inspection phase to the final execution and qualification of credits.
– Prepare, analyze and review procedural documents, such as initial petitions, responses, appeals and statements in administrative and judicial courts.
3. Strategic Management:
– Collaborate with other areas of the office to ensure integrated and effective action in tax strategies.
– Maintain constant communication with clients, understanding their needs and providing the information necessary to continue the analyses.
– Present legal solutions and personalized strategies that meet the specific demands of each client.
4. Process and Control Management:
– Monitor and manage the progress of judicial and administrative processes, keeping case records and information up to date.
– Control procedural deadlines and ensure compliance with all legal obligations, with a focus on minimizing risks.
• Advanced technical knowledge in Tax Law, including direct and indirect taxes.
• Previous experience in tax litigation, with solid experience in conducting judicial and administrative proceedings.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex rules and decisions, with the ability to present creative and effective solutions.
• Mastery of legal research tools (databases, case law, legislation, etc.).
• Excellence in legal writing, with the ability to prepare objective and clear opinions, petitions, reports and technical materials.
• Strategic and business vision, with the ability to align tax strategies with the objectives and interests of the client or company.
• Good interpersonal communication, with the ability to work collaboratively with different areas of the company, as well as with external clients and prospects.
• Time management and organization, with a focus on meeting deadlines and efficiently managing multiple processes;
• Degree in Law, with regular registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB);
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years of practical experience in the tax area, with a focus on litigation and tax consultancy;
• Postgraduate degree in Tax Law or related areas (desirable);
• Advanced English.
