Family tries to prove in court that they are housewives in Cotia. The property was confiscated by the court and transferred.

August 13, 2022

Fala Brasil, a television program on Rede Record, covered the case of a family struggling to prove that they own a house in the city of Cotia. However, the property was confiscated by the courts and transferred to the federal government because the previous owner was arrested for drug trafficking. To explain the case, our partner, Vitor Antony Ferrari, gave an interview, emphasizing that real estate ownership will only be transferred with the registration in the land registry, because without it, the family will not have security. Vitor also warns that “it is necessary to check the owner’s history and find out whether they are signing a private instrument or a public deed that really is the owner of the property.” Watch the full report on the Record website.
