Succession and Estate Planning

The highlight of Mazzucco&Mello's Wealth Management area is due to the union of expertise from the firm's consolidated corporate, tax, inheritance, real estate and family law practices.

The multidisciplinary nature of our team allows us to serve individuals, family offices and private banking areas of financial institutions, providing legal advice on the organization and protection of assets, whether already consolidated or in the formation phase.

Our work always takes into account the history of the assets and the client's interests in future projects. In our work, we always evaluate the opportunities for establishing national or foreign (offshore) structures, aiming to offer the greatest possible efficiency in the various legal aspects related to the assets.

We advise our Wealth Management clients on issues related to:

  • Structuring corporate governance to provide greater control tools to the companies involved, including the preparation of Shareholder Agreements, restructuring of Statutes and Articles of Association, preparation of policies and regulations;
  • Assessment of asset risks related to the exercise of statutory administrative positions, as well as structuring recommendations with the aim of mitigating them;
  • Tax planning aimed at tax optimization, both in operational and succession terms;
  • Preparation of income tax returns, formalization of definitive departure from the country and return of Brazilians from abroad, Census of Brazilian Capital Abroad, among others;
  • Advice on property regimes and tax impacts on marriage and stable union contracts and issues relating to inheritances;
