On May 11, CVM published Circular Letter CVM/SEP 03/21, which announced that the Empresas.net system will now be used through an online platform, no longer requiring the download of the file that was previously required.
As is well known, the “Empresas.NET” system is a software used by publicly-held companies (or those in the process of registering with the CVM), which aims to enable the submission of mandatory information from these companies to the CVM. This system is responsible, for example, for generating and submitting Registration Forms (FC), Reference Forms (FR), Quarterly Income Reports (ITR), and Standardized Financial Statements (DFP).
The new feature introduced by Circular Letter CVM/SEP 03 promises to make using Empresas.NET more agile, since there will be no need to download and install the application on the computer, nor to be alert to possible updates. CVM also promises to speed up the implementation of improvements, since it may add new features in the future, improve the user experience, with the use of dynamic screens and menus, and the possibility of validations being performed directly on the filling screen.
Starting on May 18th, the process of moving to this new platform will begin, ensuring greater efficiency in the exchange of information between the CVM and publicly-held companies.
It is worth noting that the completion of the ITR for the 1st quarter of 2021, whose deadline ends on 05/17/2021, must be done in the old “Empresas.NET” system.
