Senate approves postponement of LGPD until January 2021

The Senate approved the postponement of the LGPD until January 2021, with fines and sanctions valid from August of next year. Another item of the flexibility of Bill (PL) No. 1,179/2020 was the suspension of article 49 of the Consumer Defense Code (CDC) for essential products until October 30, 2020. The aforementioned article deals with the Right to Withdraw a Product through Home Delivery - delivery. The PL will still be voted on in the Chamber of Deputies.
